Privacy Policy

Tile Desk ("we", "us") builds software for tile and sanitaryware retailers to manage inventory, purchasing, and invoicing. This page explains what information we collect through the product and website, how it's used, and how it's protected. Access to Tile Desk is invite-only — accounts are created by us for shops we've onboarded, not through public sign-up.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Tile Desk, we collect:

• Account information — your email address and login credentials, used to sign in.
• Shop data you enter — shop profile (name, address, phone, GSTIN), inventory and tile catalogue, vehicle arrivals and purchase records, quotations, invoices, and customer or party records (name, phone, address, GSTIN) that you add.
• Contact requests — if you fill in an invite request, demo request, or feedback form on our website, we collect the email address and any message you provide so we can respond.
• Basic technical data — sign-in timestamps and device/browser information recorded automatically by our authentication provider for security purposes.

How we use it

• To operate the product — storing and displaying your shop's data back to you and your team.
• To communicate with you — invite links, password resets, and replies to support or feedback requests.
• To improve the product — understanding which features are used, without selling or advertising based on your data.

Data belongs to your shop

Each shop's inventory, invoices, customers, and purchase records are private to that shop's account. We don't share one shop's data with another, and we don't use shop data to train external models or for advertising.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Tile Desk, who process data on our behalf under their own security commitments:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication.
• Vercel — hosts the website and application.
• Resend — delivers transactional emails (invites, notifications).

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Tile Desk or our users.

Cookies & tracking

Tile Desk doesn't use third-party advertising cookies or ad trackers. We use only the minimum technical storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences within the app.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account or shop data deleted, contact us and we'll remove it, except where we're required to retain records for legal or accounting reasons.

Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to production data is limited to what's needed to operate and support the product.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data associated with your account at any time by emailing us.

Children's privacy

Tile Desk is a business tool for shop owners and staff and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let existing customers know.
